Dermal Fillers are soft, injectable substances that most often come in the form of liquids or gels, containing Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in every tissue of the human body and it is the skin’s key tool in retaining water. Its presence in the skin creates volume and elasticity, however, as you age, your skin cells renew themselves at a slower rate, providing less Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, and Elastin, causing the skin to thin, lose volume and elasticity. In combination with external elements such as sun exposure, gravity, repetitive movement, diet, and stress, the skin loses volume, sags, and develops fine lines, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines.
Dermal fillers are injected into the dermis or subcutaneous layer of the skin, improving the visible signs of aging by replacing lost fat and filling out the space below wrinkles, fine lines, and cheek hollows. They integrate themselves naturally into the injected tissue, allowing oxygen and hormones to easily pass through them. As time goes on, the injected Hyaluronic Acid is naturally broken down and absorbed by your body, so they aren’t permanent but can last several months depending on the area they are used in.
Dermal fillers are inherently different to neurotoxins which are injected to weaken muscles. The dermal fillers that we use contain no neurotoxins and are not animal-derived.
Every person is different and so the treatment aspiration will also be unique. The client journey involves a consultation, with discussion centred around the client. We discuss your needs and explain what the treatment entails. The desired outcomes are taken into account and we advise on the most suitable options. Every treatment is bespoke to the client.
Dermal filler is used to help define and shape the lip border. We also inject in to the body of the lip to help augment the volume and shape to meet the clients needs. The Cupid's Bow and Philtrum Columns can also be enhanced. Advanced microdroplet injection techniques are used to create bespoke lips. Several treatments may be needed to gradually build up the lips depending on the desired outcome of the client.
Dermal fillers can be used to either create a natural contoured look or to add some volume to the area. As we grow older we lose some of the volume in the upper part of the face, which makes our lower face heavier causing nasolabial lines and marionette lines to become more prominent. Adding filler to restore some of the volume also helps lift and anchor the tissue therefore softening the wrinkles caused in the lower part of the face.
Dermal fillers can be used to soften the lines that run from both sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
These run from the corners of the mouth along the side of the chin. Dermal fillers can be used in these areas to soften the wrinkles.
